I have a crush for sauerkraut at the moment and want to eat it almost the whole time! Today, I make my own version of the classic Reuben sandwich.

There are many dinners planned around potatoes, rice or pasta. Today I add a lovely Italian classical to it: Polenta. I make fried polenta with red onion marmalade, shiitake tapenade and smoked tofu. A great alternative for dinner together with some green leaves or even as a fancy snack to go with the sunday drink.
I think that I have done this very simple dish about 5 times in the past two weeks. My dinner (or lunch for that matter) with root vegetables with fennel seeds and millet is so tasty, quickly made and filled with goodies that there’s really no reason not to make it. If you ask me ;0)
The fennel is at it’s best right now! Therefore, I serve you my new favorite, baked fennel with pink pepper and almond flour. If I got the chance I could probably eat this every day for a while…
Today I serve roasted new potatoes with a cherry relish, pickled mustard seeds and a miso sauce. It will be a wonderful plate with lots of flavors!
Sure we can manage another asparagus recipe before the season is over? Today there will be deep-fried croquettes with white asparagus!
I’m just saying. Green asparagus and new potatoes. In one sentence and in one dish. Simple and without much extras going on. Just delicious and perfect in season.
Summer, sun and lazy days! No, we’re not really there yet but luckily, this Spanish tortilla with caponata can be eaten all year long. However, everything seems to taste just a little bit better with sun in your eyes…
A few days ago, I finally got up and made my own pickled lemons but now I had to wait a whooooooole month before they are ready. Impatient as I am, I came up with an intermediate solution until I get to open my beautiful pots. Today I make a salty lemon chutney!
Next time you want something quick, delicious and filling, do me a favor and make crisp rösti with carrots. It’s just so finger lickin’ good!
