Beetroot patties with herb oil and mashed potatoes creates a great dinner for tonight! In addition, it’s easy to prepare and to keep in the freezer for any day when the time is short or the inspiration for dinner is far away.
For some time I have looked for and longing for nut bread. That was until I decided to redeem myself from my longings and bake my very own nut bread. Filled with fine nuts and seeds. Lovely chewy and tasty with a slice of cheese or maybe some jam.
It has been raining for days here in the Netherlands. Autumn has really arrived. It is dark in the morning and even darker in the evening. Mornings are cold, the air high. The jacket has been taken out of it’s summer rest. People coughs and sniffles in the train and I dream of hot chocolate and look for new winter boots. No return, the autumn has arrived.
In Sweden we are all brought up with chocolate balls. I believe it is the first cake you often are allowed to make on your own for your parents if you are about five years old. Chokladbullar.
